24th Annual Friends of the Amherst Town Library Student Art Show

Congratulations to SAU-39 Student Artists!

Thirteen of the exhibiting student artists, who were among more than 400 very talented SAU-39 artists, selected to exhibit during the Friends of the Amherst Town Library Art Show, were recognized for their creative aptitude during an artist reception which took place on Sunday, May 7th at the Amherst Town Library. The Student Art Show is an annual event hosted by the Friends of the Amherst Town Library. Artwork is displayed throughout the month of May, by students grades Kindergarten through twelfth, in the forms of sculpture, painting, and drawing.  The artwork is juried by five professional artists and the awards sponsored by local businesses. Over 900 visitors attended the reception.  After the exhibit at the Library concludes the winning pieces are on display for the month of June at the local businesses who have supported the awards and during July they are exhibited at the Office of the Superintendent where visitors to the building can see the winning artwork.
